"CREATING SAFER COMMUNITIES FOR MARGINALIZED WOMEN AND EVERYONE" PROJECT
The "Creating Safer Communities for Marginalized Women and Everyone" project, funded by Status of Women Canada and conducted by Women in Cities International (WCI), aims to build partnerships between local women's groups working with marginalized women and their municipalities by implementing safety approaches to create safer communities for marginalized women. WCI is an organization that works with four groups of marginalized women: Native women in Regina, elderly women in Gatineau, immigrant women in Peel and women with disabilities in Montréal. Action des femmes handicapées (Montréal) has been selected as a partner for the project component on women with disabilities.
