LCO Releases Results of its Older Adult Pre-Study Consultation

The LCO has completed the first stage of its multi-year project on the Law as it Affects Older Adults. Based on public consultation and its own research, the LCO has identified the principles, themes and issues that will shape its approach to this Project. Policy Brief Re: Study on Economic Security on Women with Disabilities

This policy brief points out how disabled women contribute to the Canadian economy and clarifies their financial responsibilities and economic hardships. This policy brief on economic security is organized into five themes: economic contribution, workplace and volunteer participation, income protection, access to affordable housing and food resources and attitudinal barriers.

  • If refreshments are being served are food choices available for women with diabetes?
  • Do you have volunteers available to assist women who have visual impairments?
  • Are your materials available in alternate formats? Braille, Tape, and diskette copies?
  • Is information provided in a "Plain Language" Format for women with cognitive or developmental disabilities?
  • Do you have drivers available for women who wish to participate in your march yet find walking difficult?
