How to Change Your Password - Windows
Question:
I share my computer with 2 room mates and I'm a Windows 98 user.
How do I go about changing my password for Windows?
Answer:
If you share a computer with others and it has a Windows operating system
installed, chances are you have your own profile, or desktop settings.
When you start up your computer you sign in using your username and
password.
To change
your password follow these steps:
- Go to <Start>
at bottom left corner of your screen.
- Select <Settings>
option
- Select <Control
Panel> option
- Select <Passwords>
option (the icon for sighted users is a picture of a set of keys)
- When the Passwords
Window opens, select the <Change Passwords> tab.
- Select <change
Windows Password>
- When the Change
Windows Password Box opens, enter your old password, and then enter
the new password into the appropriate text boxes.
- Select <OK>
and you've changed your password.
