Canada: DisAbled Women's Network Canada Search
& Find
Both Netscape and
Explorer have a nifty little feature in their Edit pull-down menus.
Netscape calls
it Find on Page Both features work in the same way. They allow you to do a keyword search on the web page you’re using. On the Edit menu select the Find on Page option. The Find box opens. Type in the word you want to search for in the space provided. You can also decide whether to search down or up the website in the little box labeled Direction. As most searches start at the top of the website, the Down option is automatically selected. If you’re part way down the web page and want to search the area you’ve already scrolled down, simply single-click the small button marked Up. Then single click on the Find Next button. The first example of the word youre searching for will be highlighted on the web page. To look for other examples, seelct Find Next option in the Find window again, and the next word that matches your search will be highlighted, after which select Find Next to proceed to the next word match, and so on. It makes sifting through large web pages so much easier! |
