Microsoft Word Recovery Time - Microsoft Word
I expect a great deal from my computer. Often I've got seven or eight applications running at once, and I'm jumping from one to the other as fast as I can. Occasionally, my manic work-pace gets beyond the computer's abilities, and the whole darn thing freezes on me. Ctrl + Alt + Del time, and lots of cursing when I realize I haven't saved the Word document I'm working on. This is why I have Word's AutoRecover function set to save every five minutes. That way, if the computer does crash on me, a recovered version of my document will automatically open when I reopen the original document. To modify the AutoRecover time: 1. select or single-click the <Tools> pull-down menu with the left mouse button 2. then select or single-click <Options>. 3. when the <Options> window opens, select or single-click on the <Save> tab 4. at the bottom
of the <Save Options> section is a small box labelled <Save
AutoRecover info every:>. If there 5. now, to the right of the box is an entry box marked <minutes>. Use this box to change how often Word AutoRecovers. 6. click the <OK> button to finish.
