Microsoft Word Split
Screen Feature - Microsoft Word Have you ever needed to copy and paste or cut and paste information within a large document but dreaded the amount of scrolling needed to get from one section to another? Microsoft Word has a nice tool that is meant to make working within large documents much easier - it's called Splitting A Window and is actually quite easy. Open up any Word
document on your screen. In the main menu bar go to <WINDOW> and
then choose Position this thin grey line anywhere in the Word document and click once with your left mouse button. Presto - the Word document has now been segmented into two separate document windows, each with their own independent controls. This opens up a lot of possibilities to easily move text within a document without all of the excessive scrolling. It also allows you to reference other areas of a document while working on the task at hand. To get rid of the
document split simply go back to the main menu, choose <WINDOW>
again and then choose The keyboard action to split a screen is ALT+CTRL+S. Repeat the action to get rid of the document split. A simple feature but very useful!
